To Vogue or Bust: Curated Collection

While enrolling for law school, fashion blogger Alexandra Grant suddenly realized this was not the path for her. Deciding she would rather spend her days doing something she loves, Alexandra pursued a career in fashion, creating a popular daily blog called To Vogue or Bust, where she shares her personal style must-haves and beauty tips. In addition to creating fantastic blog posts that people look forward to reading each and every day, Alexandra also works at Obakki, a fashion line and charity that donates 100% of its net proceeds toward water and education projects in developing countries.

Given she was already a fan and passionate about glasses, we were really excited to have her select her favourite frames from our site, and explain why they were her favourite!

I love these frames because they’re “just a little” everything: just a little nerdy, just a little hipster, just a little haute, just a little classic. They’re the perfect addition to a laid-back yet eclectic look for a summer weekend by the seaside.

Striated Classic

These Joseph Marc glasses may have a thick frame, but they’re sleek and chic enough to be worn with minimal styling. I’m looking forward to wearing these all summer long with simply the most classic of pieces (other than a jolt of neon here and there, perhaps).

Colour Pop

These purple frames have enough style statement to carry a white-tee-and-jeans combo alone, but I like to up the fun factor and pair them with an equally colourful dress. A thrown together stack of bracelets and loose hair gives the purple pairing just enough of a casual vibe.

When it comes to sunglasses, Alexandra Grant tends to stick to her classic Derek Cardigan Sun 7003 Black Retro-Wingtips. These frames are also available as prescription sunglasses. To add a prescription, simply shop our Derek Cardigan 7003 Black frames and select sunglasses lenses after entering your prescription on our site.
